Welcome to Miss Millificent's World, the online home of artist Athena Workman. After years as a horror and dark fantasy writer, Athena returned to her first love of art. Completely self-taught, she first began showing her mixed media work (pencil-and-ink drawings decoupaged onto canvas and wood) in galleries and juried and open shows in 2007. Around the same time, she began exploring photography, building a portfolio of portraiture, TTV, and toy pictures.

In 2009, she found that she had a talent for miniature food making, and began creating and selling mini food jewelry, soon moving onto dollhouse miniatures as well.

Mid-2009, she joined an art doll swap, and found a new love. Dollmaking was a wonderful way to bring her art "to life", and she continues to perfect her techniques to match her artwork as closely as possible.

It's not easy, moving back and forth between so many mediums, but she's found that slightly late in life, and when her most important job is ending (meaning, her two daughters are leaving the nest), she's rediscovered her childhood love of art. And has plenty to do to fill her time...
